Filter cartridges, together with filter bags, are core components of fluid purification systems. They are widely used in chemical treatment, water purification, food processing, oil filtration and industrial circulating water systems. Compared with filter bags, filter cartridges feature higher filtration accuracy and denser structure, perfectly meeting the demands of fine filtration and micro-impurity removal.
Common industrial filter cartridge materials include melt-blown polypropylene, folded glass fiber, activated carbon, sintered stainless steel and nylon. Each material is designed for specific working conditions: polypropylene cartridges are ideal for regular water treatment and weakly corrosive liquids; glass fiber cartridges suit high-temperature and high-viscosity fluids; stainless steel cartridges are reusable after cleaning, applicable to high-pressure and wear-resistant environments; activated carbon cartridges focus on odor removal, decolorization and organic impurity purification.
Three key parameters should be considered during selection: filtration rating, working pressure resistance and medium compatibility. Proper cartridge selection effectively prevents rapid clogging, pressure difference surge and structural damage.
In daily operation, effective measures such as pre-filtration treatment, flow rate control and regular pressure relief can reduce cartridge contamination. Timely replacement of saturated filter cartridges stabilizes filtration performance, lowers production loss, protects pipeline and precision equipment, and reduces long-term maintenance costs.
