Polypropylene Filter Bags
Polypropylene felt liquid filter bags are an option for process-liquid particulate filtration when polypropylene media and the complete bag construction are suitable for the application. Compare configurations by filtration objective, measured size, ring or collar, seam construction, and operating data. The media name alone does not confirm compatibility, equipment fit, or the correct micron requirement.
Construction and filtration objective
Polypropylene felt provides a depth-filtration construction for particulate capture in process liquids. Specify whether the current bag is sewn or welded and record any required surface finish or special construction shown on the existing bag, drawing, or sample. Confirm the diameter and length, ring or collar style and material, support basket, and housing model. Size labels such as #1, #2, #3, and #4 are useful starting points, but the actual dimensions and sealing details should still be checked.
Select a micron requirement in relation to the particles, solids load, desired process result, flow conditions, and acceptable change-out behavior. A finer rating is not automatically the correct choice. When the current rating is unknown, describe the filtration objective and provide the operating information that is available.
Current bag and housing evidence also matters. Photographs, drawings, labels, or a sample can help confirm the ring, seam, dimensions, and sealing arrangement before a replacement configuration is reviewed.
Compatibility review
Review polypropylene and the complete construction against the exact liquid, concentration, additives, normal and peak temperature, exposure time, and cleaning conditions. Water, chemical-process, and general industrial liquid filtration requests may be considered when the operating data support the material and construction. An application name or general chemical family is not enough to establish suitability, because concentration and process variation can change the review.
Information for an RFQ
Provide the bag dimensions, micron rating or filtration objective, current material information, ring or collar, seam, exact liquid and concentration, additives, temperature, flow conditions, solids load when known, housing or basket information, quantity, and any current model, drawing, photographs, or sample reference.
Consult the polypropylene filter bag product page, use the filter bag RFQ checklist, and review the filter selection guide before you request a quote. Pricing, availability, shipping, and lead time are confirmed after technical and commercial review.
