Polyester Filter Bags

Polyester filter bags are used for particulate removal in liquid filtration systems when the process conditions are suitable for polyester media. Selection should be reviewed against the liquid chemistry, operating temperature, solids loading, required micron rating, and the filter housing or bag size. A product-family name is a starting point for specification review rather than proof that a particular bag will fit or perform as required.

Specifications to confirm

For a replacement inquiry, record the existing bag diameter and length, or provide a recognized size such as #1, #2, #3, or #4 together with actual dimensions. Confirm the ring or top style, including plastic ring, steel ring, drawstring, or another configuration, and state whether sewn or welded construction is required. The current micron rating, or the particle-retention objective when the rating is unknown, should be supplied with the liquid and operating data.

Polyester felt is often requested for general particulate removal. A final specification still depends on the complete process. Water and wastewater pre-filtration, chemical-process filtration, paints, coatings, inks, resins, oils, industrial fluids, and food or beverage process support can be reviewed only when polyester and the complete construction are suitable for the confirmed conditions. Review the normal and peak temperature, flow, solids load, liquid type, and housing details before selecting a configuration.

When the required micron rating is uncertain, describe the particles, desired process result, and current filtration behavior. The available information can then be reviewed without treating the smallest rating as an automatic selection.
